I was lucky enough to get to spend three straight days with my youngest son (without mom or big brother around) and really connect with him.  Since Josh was born , boy #1 has been pretty-much exclusively my responsibility while the care of boy #2 has fallen almost exclusively to my wife.  I must say that I am one very lucky man.  He was a champ.  As a matter of fact, the only time he ever fussed was about two minutes after my wife walked back IN the door!  Of course, having full responsibility for Josh meant that, among other things, I didn’t have much time for anything else, even our poor sweet mutt Shelbee didn’t get a real walk until about 20 minutes ago.  I was able to take her out back during naptime this morning, so I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots while I waited for her.  I saw this beautiful tall Poplar tree reaching up for the sky, and the morning light was kind of nice with a beautiful blue sky.  I didn’t feel like laying on the ground in the snow and frozen mud (it was 10 degrees F), so I basically walked up, placed the camera on the trunk of the tree, moved around unitl I got a composition I liked, and fired away.
